About the Resource Center on Native Aging Disability
The Resource Center on Native Aging and Disability (RCNAD) supports Native communities in strengthening home and community-based services (HCBS) for Native Elders. Our purpose is to help tribes build sustainable, Medicaid reimbursable long-term care programs that are community-driven and respects traditional and cultural values.
Native Elders are the fastest-growing population across Indian Country. Our communities continue to experience higher rates of health disparities than the national average, resulting in a greater need for accessible long-term services and supports choices and care options that enable Native Elders to remain in their homes and communities as they age.
As Native communities continue to take charge of their health and well-being, RCNAD will serve as a vital resource in ensuring Elders and individuals with disabilities receive the care they deserve and remain in their home communities.
